The week of Gun shells and Weed

haha true to the title this week was full of gun shells and week :) so funny ill tell you the stories in a bit.

Anyways this week was pretty slow but pretty awesome at the same time. Well last monday we had a party at president N's house and we had a huge water fight! :) and i hurt my foot so that was a bummer and we had to sit at home for 2 days. lame but its feeling better now . then my companion was sick so we stayed inside for another day. I was about to shoot myself staying inside for 3 days ugghh!!! so lame i hate sitting inside, not going to lie i was pretty depressed just sitting there and when im just sitting there doing nothing i think about home so that was lame. But were better now and we are walking the streets of Rostov like missionaries should. But now were doing fine, this week while walking the street my companion and I were hungry so we decided to get some food and we got some stuff called shaurma. sounds like something that comes out of a lamma. but its actually really good its like a russian burrito. but while eating the shaurma i looked down by my feet and i noticed a bunch of Weed! haha i laughed for like 4 minutes. it was just there chillen by the sidewalk. so funny . so i took some pictures and we moved on. Then we had a big conference with all the branches in Rostov. We all gathered into the center branch and it was pretty cool . we had 212 people in attendance and i had to sing in a choir with my branch. that was scary. Also our investigator angelica was there and she brought a friend from english club also. sot that was great to have the there. But also President Lawrence from the europe east area presidency was here again and he spoke twice at conference. He did really well and he spoke all in russian which was pretty funny. but he did really well. And so we were sitting there in conference and i happened to notice a 9 mm gun shell sitting on the floor so i picked it up and some other missionaries saw me pick it up and i said " i guess someone got capped in here" haha it made everyone laugh and then a member from behind me tapped me on the shoulder and he said ' umm elder thats mine sorry i dropped it" so i gave it back to him and we all laughed. its was pretty funny. so i guess a member her is a murderer or a head hunter or something. That was interesting and to make things more awesome, ok i shouldnt say awesome how about interesting a lady fainted in the middle of the whole thing and they carried her outside. and then while outside she fainted again and she fell flat on her face. it looked like it hurt so bad. poor lady. but she is doing fine now. so conference in rostov was pretty awesome and entertaining. I also saw a ton of old investigators and a ton of my favorite members there and we talked and talked and talked. I think i was invited to dinner 3 times while there. that was fun. But that was our week and really nothing else happend. I hope next week is better and that we can find some more people to talk to.We also had transfer calls this week and my companion and i will be staying here in selmash for another transfer.. so thats the whole news of the week. Ill go to the office and add a bunch of pictures for you guys.i sure miss and love you allhave a great weekDrive fast and take chanceslove me.-- Elder Big D Wright

Well what up?!

Hey guys :)
So nothin much is going on here just sitting here on p day writing you. Skype was awsome yesterday and im glad i was able to see everyone! ahhh yeahh! haha anyways it was a good time and im glad to see that Sam is as ugly as ever :) haha  well on a different note this week was pretty alright, not very effective but it was alright. We had the 9th of may going on and its a huge party for all of Russia for the end of WWII so it was pretty nuts cause they are all into that stuff and they partied all week long so it was hard to do anything. But ill attach some pics for you guys to check out. But this week litteraly nothing happened haha :) except we had a investigator at church this week and we are meeting with her thursday to give her a baptismal commitment, so that will be sick.
Well i was talking to the office elders about what cory said about someone from the mission going to stay with him, and they said that plans were changed and it was supposed to be the office elders staying with cory. The hotel at the finland temple was full so they were going to stay with cory for a while but i guess they found a different way to do everything. dang eh? oh well.  But anyways im finding it hard to write you guys cause we already talked yesterday haha. And nothing happened this week really, so ill send you another email full of pictures to explain the week i guess. :) i have a bunch for you and i think Dad will enjoy the millitary vehicle pics more than anyone haha :) Well i sure love all of you guys and i miss you. Go hit the lake for me and take daphne out for a spin. :)
love you guys
peace love me.

VICTORY DAY

Well hello from the mother land!
So today is Victory day here in Russia! Its the day the Russians celebrate the end of the 2nd World War. And today they are throwing a nation wide party and im going to go watch it haha :) President N even said to go so we are going to go party with the russians today :) there is going to be a huge war parade with soldiers and tanks and Missile trucks and just plain missiles on trucks haha ;) so cool so cool and im going to go see it all! so bomb! Anyways thats why our P day was changed to today because we wouldnt be able to work at all today anyways, so we get to party instead of work ahhhh yeahh. So ill get some cool pics this week and send them too you. so this week was pretty lame, lots of angry people were on the street and they all yelled and threatened us all week long, it wasnt a very fun week ill just say that. But we didnt have too many problems just drunks and agry people trying to pick fights with the two americans, and it doesnt help that my companion is way tall and about as nerdy as a guy can get so we get picked out of the crowd and its pretty bad. But its ok im over it. Im still alive so thats what matters i guess :) But this last week the whole city was preparing for the big party so everyone was cleaning the streets getting the old communist flags out, planting flowers and buying lots and lots of food and beer haha :) Its going to be awesome. And because of all this partying and getting ready our work week was crap and we didnt get anything done but we did have zone conference and that was good. It was President Nechiporov's last zone conf with us and it was kinda weird cause he didnt talk much and he just sat there the whole time kinda looking depressed. So i think he is pretty sad about the whole thing, its really weird to have him leaving. But he needs to go home and take a break haha i think 3 years as a mission president would suck. ya suck. anyways nothing else has been happening really except i tought my comp how to do tin foil dinners haha. When he cooks he uses about 2 bottles of ketchup in the food and it makes me sick so i will be teaching him how to make chilli and spaghetti without all the ketchup. haha its pretty nasty .
Well the cool story of the week is awesome! So last week we gave a blessing to a crippled man who had a stroke and it messed him up way bad. he comes to church every week and he ca n barely walk so is a stud and an example for all of the members here. he shows them that no one  has an excuse not going to church. and he wanted to bear his testimony in sacrament meeting but he cant cause he cant speak very well since his stroke. so he asked for a blessing from my comp and I and i gave the blessing and told him his thoughts and mouth would work according to the will of the lord and guess what. This last sunday he came in a white shirt and tie and passsed the sacrament and he bore his testimony. It was the most awesome thing in the world. he stood up limped to the front of the podium and he bore his testimony more easier than i can. His words came out in perfect order and he didnt even stutter once. It was like he had never had a stroke. it was amazing and it was a huge testimony builder that the lord loves us and he is willing to help us com unto him and do what we need to do to help our friends families and our loved ones. everyone was teary eyed after that and it was awesome :) big smiles :)
well that was it for this week i hope you enjoyed it and i hope you like the pics :)
love you all
