Hey!!

well it was good to talk to you guys!!!! You guys looked good and it seems that everyone is having a great christmas!~ im glad :) i just hope everyones was better than mine cause i got a call at 1130 christmas eve from my land lady and she said that the apartment was flooded with 3 inches of poooooooooo!!!!! Nasty man nasty but its all good and we cleaned it up pretty good and hopefully it doesnt get all stinky :) anyways but my christmas was nuts and crazy. haha i was just running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but we had fun :). But ya i had a visa trip this week and i whent to Maryupole. A place just a couple hours away from Rostov. So the mission driver took us to the border and back but we had to walk across the border and we got stuck on the border for around 2 hours freezing our little butts off. It was way cold, but in the end we got across the border thanks to some random dude. he showed up got us across without a problem and dissapeard. i swear he was one of the 3 nephites. it was way nuts not going to lie. but we got across the border and after i crossed i noticed that one of the ladies stole some of my papers out of my passport. so i had to hike back tothe border and ask for my papers. so after another 30 min i got my papers back from the wench that stole them. she needs beat up. but it was crazy and im still alive thank goodness with all my toes. but christmas eve we had a party at the branch building in krasnodar and we got the zone together and had lunch. We had roast beef and potatoes and all that good jazz. then we had a talent show. I read the story of Rindercella. if you havent seen it look it up on youtube. im pretty sure its on there. ya but then we finished the night by singing for the branch there we sang jingle bells of course. they loved it. then we hit the sac and got on a train christmas morning at 530 and got to sochi at noon thirty then we cleaned up the poop mess haha. not too cool eh? ya but other than that you all know but ill attach some pictures. i love you guys. tell john and jamie congrats!!! thats so cool!!! the bomb :) i love all you guys i hope christmas was bomb!

love me.

Whats up

Well shoot everyone, how are you? Well im doing alright, im not doing to bad just chillin in the warmest place to be in russia during the winter time. So i dont have too much to complain about. >:) But this week has been pretty hectic and i dont like it too much. I have been on a train half the week and next week ill be doing the same thing all over again. bummer. But thats alright, whatever works i guess. I have to go back to ukraine for another visa trip. Gee time flies eh? it just seems like yesterday i was in kieve at the temple, but the trip this time isnt going to be as cool. we are going to the border and back with the mission driver. So that should be pretty painless, well hopefully. So anyways this week was transfers as you already know i think........ anyways and i picked up my new comp elder Roberts from north ogden. He is a stud , he rides motorcycles, snowboards and he even likes country music. ha.... thats very very important. jk. No but he is a stud and we are going to have a fun time. But the highlight of the week was his first hour out of our apartment door he had pretty much prostitutes trying to do  buisness with us, and 3 drunk russians tried to party with us and give us vodka cause were americans and i guess since were americans we have to try russian vodka. And they grabbed him and tried to drag him over to the bench to have some hahha. then me the senior companion pulled out my numchukcs and beat them down and we rode off into the sunset. not together just walking side by side. :) hahah. anyways we had some crazy first days together. but the best thing about this week was today, we had mcdonalds and while we were sitting there these two ugly russian girls kept staring at us and giggling like dummies and so i gave them the FIG. so let me explain the fig. the fig is a hand gesture where you put your thumb in-between your pointer finger and your middle finger and it just looks funny. But In russian it pretty much means (bahha you suck) haha so i gave the girls the fig and we left :) haha it was hillarious you should have seen their faces. it was awesome. anyways but the week was hectic and not that cool. And next week isnt going to be as great either except for getting to skype you guys. and i sure hope it works!!! If not oh well, my companion has a new ipod with skype on it and we can try it on that. It seems to work alright but not as good as a computer of course. so ill probably most likely be skype'ing you sunday night at 9 or 10 AM utah time. since you guys are 11 hours behind us it will be night time for me. But i will for sure tell you a more exact time later. anyways i better get going. enjoy the picture. i thought you guys would enjoy it.

MERRY STINKING CHRISTMAS

HEY!!!!

Hey all you funny looking people. :)
Its really cool to be able to email all of you. its really dope not going to lie. So this week was really good, we did lots of work and we got a lot done. But for some reason the most important stuff didn't get done. It really makes me mad!!!! Like, we have an investigator name Armen, he is married to a member here and they are expecting a baby! So he is really excited for that and he wants to be sealed in the temple, so he will be getting baptized i just don't know when. That's why we had 2 appointments this week with them to set a date for baptism. And guess what......... they all fell through!!! First his wife got sick so they had to go to the hospital, then his mom was here and family comes first so that didn't work tooo well. Ya, so we didn't set a date with him. ya . anyways so that was the bummer of the week. But i do have some really cool news. Transfers are wednesday and president is hooking me up with a greenie straight from the mtc. so ya im pretty stoked about that one. His name is Elder Roberts, and he will be getting into Russia tomorrow night, and I'll meet him in krasnodar on wednesday :) so thats pretty sick. so that will be interesting. Well Iwas glad to hear that the christmas parties went well and that no one died at our crazy wright family parties. haha :) i sure do miss those parties. You guys sure are alot of fun:) so what else happened. oh ya, i about died from being fed to death!!! haha we were at a members house last night cause they needed the sacrament. They have been sick for a while, so we went over there and they fed us hot dogs, soup, and sour kraut.!!! sorry if thats not the way you spell it.l but it was awesome! Almost as good as grandpa wrights sour kraut. it was awesome!! I started putting it on the hot dogs and eating it and they gave me the funniest looks ever hahah. i almost died laughing. literally, i started choking and almost threw up ahha :) but it was great. But it made me miss you guys alot. not the throw upping part but the thinking about grandpa and stuff. made me trunky! hahha sad to say but i have been having trunky thoughts lately. sorry but its christmas time and there is no way getting around it! but shoot this week we have been working with posters on the steet lately contacting. and it is the bomb!! We had 10 steet lessons this week and we gave away 6 BOM's so that was way cool and way more effective than just walking around the city aimlessly. And the people seem to like it, even if they dont want to talk i give them christ pictures and everyone loves christ so they at least take the picture. So maybe they will see those later and call us up. Seeds , seeds, seeds, and more seeds :) haha thats alright though. But this week was really good. I'm glad cause last week sucked. This week we got like 20 feet of rain and we about drowned. Hahah. but its alright, i can swim. sorry this email is so random. I just keep getting random thoughts and typing them. so hopefully you get something out of this e-mail haha :) but anyways i'm doing fine. I did open the package and i did steal the decorations out of it. and i might have opened sams present to me!! hahha so awesome!!!! Now i have a lego action figure next to my alarm clock!! so cool! Thanks sam!!! your the best. so ill save the rest of them for christmas but i couldn't help but snoop haha :) anyways i better get going. i love all of you. I'll attach some pics from last pday we went hiking in the mountains with the youth from our branch. its way cool. love you :)
dont die.
love me.

Rostov Chronicles (November Mission News Letter)

Saturday, December 10, 2011

Hey, What the heck!

Hey everyone, thanks for the e-mails! They are the bomb and they are part of the life blood of a missionary, so thanks! :) well shoot this week was pretty good. Well reaally boring but really good. We had thanks giving. Me and my comp and we cooked turkey and mashed potatoes. That was pretty good. so we had a party ourselves :0 it was good. :) And another cool thing we did was we booked some tickets for a Big band jazz concert! It was the bomb!!!!!!! we had so fun and the band that playes was awesome!!!! They were so good, and they played that one song off of the old chips ahoy comercials. hahah i was freaking out it was awesome haha i knew it would make dad jealous so i had to tell you guys ahha. but all in all it was one of the coolest things we have done in a long time.
But other than that sochi has been really really rainy lately! Kind of a bummer. Especially on missionary work outhere. When the weather is bad the work is bad, unfortunately. But the people all are running around trying to get out of the weather and when we go knocking they wont let us in cause they think they will get sick. All in all Russians are wusses.. Kinda ticks me off a lot. But what can you do, so what else happened this week.......... Not really much happend. Just been tripin out of my mind cause Elder Nancollas decided to be a bum on me and go home so that kinda mademe really really .... really x 10 trunky. So this week has been creeping pretty slow. Good thing we had some good stuff to do to distract me, cause it was way slow not going to lie. Ya but anyways i love the smokes out of you all. Well im glad that you guys got to see him at his welcome home. thats way cool of you guys to goout there :) He is a stud. Well shoot anyways the branch in sochi is probably the worst branch i have been in. Its one of the branches if i lived here in Russia and i lived in the branch here i would stop going to church. Pretty lame not going to lie. so my comp and i talked to the branch president and his councelor and we gave them a bunch of tips . its probably really bad to do that but we did cause it needs help. We told him to get some branch missionaries goin to get the non actives back.there are 120 people on the branch list and 21 came to church sunday. so he decided to call 5 branch missionaries and a coordinator. So thank goodness he agreed with us. So hopefully by the time i get outof sochi there will be a branch of 30 maybe 40.. hopefully. it really needs it bad. ya but the branch president is a way cool guy he just doesnt knowwhat todo. His calling would be very hard and i feel for him. Especially when there is such a big task at hand, poor guy but it needs done. Ya so that was our week really frustrating but really cool at the same time. I hope everyone else had a better week than mine. But being honest it wastn too bad. well shoot ilove you guys tons. Be good. Dont die. :)

love Me.

Hey!!!!

Well what up everyone.
Life in sochi is pretty bomb right now. I finally got over the flu, but i still have a weird cough but thats alright, i can handle that one. So this week was pretty bomb 2 of my investigators were baptized.! David from rostov and Nika from here in sochi! So bomb! You couldnt ask for a better day on the mission. They were both baptized on Sunday the 20th. Nika was baptized in the Black sea, and David was baptised in Rostov's b font. so it was awesome!!! So david is the son of Irina the lady i baptized in October. So we got a family into the church :) how awesome is that. Im way excited for that one. And im even more excited cause president said if we baptize a family he will have sister Nehiperova make cheese cake for the elders who baptized them :) so i totally get cheese cake! hahha :) oh so we did have some problems at the baptism. There was a drunk worker wandering around yelling at us telling us to leave or else he would call the cops. He was drunk and retarded so we just ignored him, and finally he left us alone, but before he left us alone the little kid named Bagdan, who was with us, went up to him and flipped the dude off!!! Hahaa he is like 4 years old! How funny is that! hahaa ;) ya it was awesome. I laughed so hard I about peed my pants haha. But everything turned out just fine and Bagdan lived through the experience. haha. We had zone conference this week so i traveled up to Krasnodar again. I was there for 2 days. And the train ride sucks going there. And it takes 6 hours each way, so its pretty annoying. But conference was good and i got your package! It got there so fast, i recieved it 15 days after being sent. so that was pretty cool :) then we got back and had the baptism and the senior couple from Krasnodar came down to Sochi with us to visit the branch. We took them around Sochi and showed them the cool things to see :) and they took us out to dinner for Thanksgiving cause i guess the area presidency exnayed thanksgiving this year. gay huh!!! But oh well, ho0llidays on the mission are lame anyways. So me and my comp will go out and eat this thursday :) haha but ya everything went well this week. the sun came out and it was warm. City day was yesterday for Sochi, and they had fireworks going off for like 5 hours right  over our apartment. We live right in the middle of town. Way expensive but way cool. So we watched fireworks outside our window on the scaffolding, cause they are doing reconstruction on our apartment building for the olympics. Like everywhere. So that was fun. But all in all life is good. Im enjoying the mission and all that jazz. It sure is tough though, i never thought a mission would be so hard!!! More mentally difficult than anything for sure, its pretty crazy thats for sure. But all in all its alright. Elder Nancollas is coming home Wednesday! so Robin best be going to chill with him soon. He is a stud. So ya go to his welcome home if you can. He will get ahold of Robin and tell her when it is. Anyways, i love you guys. I have to get going. I love you tons. Dont die.

Drive fast and take chances.

love me.

Hey

Hey so i got to the church and had some extra time and i wanted to write you a little better than i did last time. So this week was good. Except :) i got sick. I have been sick for the past couple days and its not too cool. But im starting to feel better , its just a dang cold but its still way annoying ya know. Well shoot so i havent really done much this week other than the elders quorrum party that we had. It was pretty good cause we had barbeque and a ton of onions. Wow that was kinda rank. But they made me eat plain onions cause im in russia and techinally they say im trying to speak russian so i have to act like one too. So they made me eat 3 of them. And after 3 onions i still hate raw onions. hahha pretty funny though. And the other funny thing of the week was after church. Well we have a little devil kid in our branch. Every ward and branch has one. But he is worse than all of them! Right when i walked into the church sunday he came up and tried to sock me a good one where it counts. Little fart. Luckily i faught him off before he laid a good one on me. But then while i was hanging up my coat he tried high kicking me. Kinda like Robin does in the morning when you try to take her socks off. But obviously i have plenty of practice runnning away from Robins high kicks so this little farts was pretty easy to see coming. So i grabbed his foot in mid air and made him do the splits. haha then i let go and he fell over fake crying trying to get me in trouble. hahha made me feel so good to make a 6 year old cry haha. but thats not the worst. after his church his grandpa is the one that brings him anyways after church his grandpa asks us to watch him for 15 minutes while he talked with the branch president. You should have seen my face. I was trying to avoid watching this kid like someone trying to avoid a gas chamber. ya so we got stuck with the little tyqe. I just call him little devil. So we were watching the devil for like an hour and during the whole time little devil is jumping on the pulpit screaming throwing books and making forts out of the chairs. He is nuts!@!!! I wanted to give the kid a scottish blessing but i thought better of it. Ya so we started playing tricks on him. We did this for like a half hour, way fun haha well it was for us atleast. Ya so that was pretty nuts, hopefully this kid grows up and is normal im kinda worried for him. Ya then after that we went home and i slept. Being sick isnt fun!! Especially when mom is on the other side of the world!!! Missions sure do make you appreciate your mom :) ya well other than those two things, not much happend. we had the zone leaders over from krasnodar- that was lame. They aren't any fun at all. It seems like everyone down here in the south zone are lame. So zone conference is going to be lame. so is christmas. But thats alright i have a good companion. His name is Elder Reinguard he is Ukranian and he is from a place called alsdkjl;aksdl;fkslkdjflkas;ldk ya. I totally forgot how to spell it. But it is pretty hard to spell something that you forgot hahha :) oh ya simferopol. He says its pretty sick. Anyways he is really cool. He is the exact same height as me, so we look pretty big walking down the street side by side. Not too many punk teenagers mess with us. Which is nice cause usually if you have a small companion they pick on ya alot more. They usually just sit on park benches and read your name tags and make fun of your names. So I came up with a good way to get back at them. After they say "oh its elder wright what a retard." of course they are making fun of ya. So i usually just walk closer to them and say " Good job man, you can actually read" Then they try and throw something back at ya but usually you are already walking away. hahah they are so stupid. They dont have anything better to do than drink smoke and sit on park benches trying to make themselves feel better by making fun of everyone. Kinda sad to think that they will stay like that their whole lives though. dangit. oh well, so ya thats that. Ya but usually people are pretty nice to ya. Well i think so,..... usually they just wont talk to you so you just assume that they are nice people haha. Got to love it. But anyways this week has been pretty hard on me. Ive been pretty trunky . not cool at all. But Elder Nancollas is coming home next week. And i was supposed to be going home with him. But i kinda messed that one up. Didnt i haha. oh well. but freak he is going home!!! I think thats why president sent me as far away from the office as possible. So i wouldnt be the one sending him home. He talked to me about it for a while before i left the office, and im kinda glad he got me out of the office but still. I wasnt ready to leave. Especially when your 2nd investigator is getting baptised. ya oh well. But whatever spit in one hand and want in the other. what can you do. Well shoot i better get going. My comp is giving me the stink eye. well i love you all. Dont die please.

Someone send me some mail :)

love you alll

Why does everything in Russia smell like onions?!‏

Seriously though! Why does it all smell like onions haha. JK JK no but for real i was just walkin around and it smelled just like onions! It made me laugh cause i knew that i was going to tell youthat the first sentence in my letter home :) haha. Well shoot anyways im kickin it in Sochi with myew companion and we are having a blast. We went down to the beach today and took some piccs and threw some rocks in the water to make all the fisherman mad haha. they were pretty ticked. But we have had some fun already. And we have a baptism this sunday. And the cool thing about everything is that she wants to be baptised in the sea. So ya thats what were doing and were going to pick out a place tomorrow with a member. so its going to be waycool and im way exxxxxcited. it will be sweet. So anyway, we left rostov wednesday night and we rode a train down to krasnodar. The first area i served in when i came to russia the first time. It was really weird going there. I had some mixed feelings walking into the train station. It was way funky ill tell ya. But im over it now. Then we spent the night in Kransodar with the elders there. Then we got up at 4 30 and caught our train and we got to sochi around noon and got to the apartment and dumped off my bags and went to get my butt registered in sochi. Which is kinda scary cause we have church members do all the legal stuff since we dont speak russian perfectly. And the register here in sochi is 83. hha and he only has one good eye so a 83 year old dude is running around with my passport for a couple days. hahaha. THat would be way funny if something happend then i would get sent out to moscow to the embassy for  while. haha. that would be sweet. Well shoot then thursday i met with the girl who is getting baptised. SHe is 25 and she is awesome. She is going to be a great member and im glad she is getting dunked.  She will be the first baptism here in sochi in 4 years. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crazy huh! ya thats a way long time. hopefully we will find some more people down here. There are currently 3 investigators that have some potential. So hopefully everything goes well with that. ill have to tell you about that later though. alright then friday we had some meetings with some other investigators that i dont remember their names. but they were pretty cool. but then sunday we had church of course and its a small branch. i counted a whole whopping 19 people at church. it was pretty wussy not going to lie. especially when there are 150 members here in sochi!!!!! so we have our work cut out for us here in sochi. since everyone here is travelers we dont really teach on the street. So we are stuck with finding members. its not bad at all but its just annoying sometimes. But ya after church we had a member meeting . And we got there and the members house was literally not lying to you 10 feet by 20 ft. It was tiny but she said its just a apartment they rent in the winter time. i guess they live in rostov, but she is an amazing piano player! She playes professionally for the ballet. Cool eh? ya and she is making me sing in church. but at least she is letting me pick what im singing. ill be singing abide with me tis even tide. the dopest hymn out there. :) its my fav. ya anyways but we were at her house and she fed us. well more like she shoveled food in our mouths with a pitch fork!!!! There was so much food that it was redculous!!!! haha i felt so sick afterwards. aklsjd;flajsdlf;kajlfjsl it was really tastey but it wasnt good after the 4th or fith bowl!!!  wow. They think the missionaries starve or something i swear. but it was way nice. Im pretty sure the people that help the missionaries are getting blessings dumped on them :) So it was way nice of her. But then today we walked around sochi taking pics and messing around. This place is so amazing!!!! Its so pretty i have  never seen anything like it. If anyone wants to come to russia and be in the tropics this is the place to go. No wonder the olympic commitee picked this place! its amazing! wow. Well anyways ill attach some pics and all that good stuff. so ya today after this we are going to chill at home and write some letters. ya so thats the crazy first week in sochi. Hopefully there will be a ton more.!!! President must like me to have sent me down here.:) anyways i love you all. i best be getting gone. :)

Love you all

Hey guys

Well shoot this week was pretty lame! Jk it was actually really cool :) we had a lot of fun and we did alot of stuff! My comp and i went to the big market and bought some winter gear. Its starting to get pretty old around here so we bought some gloves and hats and stuff. haha my comp bout a huge shapka. the big russian hats. haha. dont worry ill get some for everyone before i get back. haha its pretty funny though. its huge. haha. but ya thats what we did last pday. k so let me run through our week for ya since it was rediculous. k monday we went to the market and spent all day out there. then had family night and did that. Tuesday president asked us to take sister price. (the lady in the office) to the huge mall an hour away and keep her safe and translate for her all day. so we partied at a mall all day!!! ahah it was the bomb. we went into a furniture store and tried out all the couches. it was the bomb then she bought us all ice cream haha. Felt like America in there. But that was dope and in the mall there was a legos shop and they have a huge Russian Stacking doll life size made out of legos! so dope ill attach it t the end of the email. I bet sam will like it haha. what a nerd :) Then Wednesday we had 2 meeting. one with Irina our last baptism and her son David he is getting baptised the 19th. That was good then we went back to my old area severny and had a family night with my favorite family there the Semenenkos. They are so cool So that day was bomb. Then We got a call that night and found out that another senior couple was coming up from krasnodar so that they could get all winterized. So we  were told we would be translators again for the next day. So Thursday we went to subway :) then went to the market and bought i swear a million things which is embarrasing here. It was just really funny cause we have the only good market place. So when sister potter. (the couple that came up from krasnodar) saw the market she turns to all of us and yells! YYEEEASSSSS ITS MY TIME TO GO SHOPPING!!! haha just imagine a shopoholic woman kept from a market/mall for 7 months. haha ya well thats her so we went nuts. i bet they spent 500 bucks haha. it was crazy and we got tons of funny looks from everyone there. It was pretty cool though. Then after that they made us dinner for helping them all day. Then Friday,l yesterday we had a halloween party with the branches here in Rostov. that was thebomb!! haha ill attach some pics from the party. But i was in charge of musical chairs. so i got on the computer and downloaded some BOSTON!!1 haha we played musical chairs to the song SMOKIN!!! it was a stinking RIOT!!! it wa soooooo fun hahah it made want to listen to old school rock all day.!!! so bomb. we did that had a talent show i did nothing haha. then we had bobbing for apples, cookie makeing, doughnut eating and running around having a blast. haha i gave vampire teeth out to the little girls in the branches and i got a pic with them. Ill attacht that too. it was a blast. haha im sure going to miss Rostov. So here next week im getting shipped down to Sochi. Thats a 11 hour train ride south. THats like driving to california!!! gee its a long ways away from Rostov. I could die and no one would know about it.! but thats kinda cool too i guess :) haha ya so ill be at the black sea pimping it up doing my thing with my dope native companion. His name is Elder Reingard. He is the bomb. so ya Ill definately take some pics for you. And ill visit the place where they will be holding the skiing part of the olympics and ill send you pictures. it will be cool. but ya today we are translating for a elder from the quorrum of the 70 :S!!!!! yikes. its cool to be translating for the dude but its way scary to mess up. which is a guarantee. im not a native speaker yet. yikes so im scared. but oh well it will be alright. ya there is a huge europe east are conferance her and i have to help translate with my comp. all the europe east area leaders and mission leaders will be there :S ya im scared ahhaa. oh well. so anyways that will be interesting.then tomorrow we have a leaving party for elders swallow and Nancollas at presidents house. I think thats another reason president is sending me south is to get me away from elder nancollas leaving. cause he knows we are best friends and he doesnt want my thoughts going home on the plane with nancollas. ya.... so im pretty bumed. but on the other hand im going to sochi. so ya thats the bomb :) ya shoot well thats about it. i wrote alot today.. my bad. anyways i love you all. have fun be safe dont die. :)

love you

Hey, What's Up!

Alright well this week was a bitter sweet week huh? ya well Im sure glad that our family is in the church thats what i have to say. I guess i didnt really realize how dope our family is cause we all go to church every week. We all have callings of some sort and we all know the one thing that matters most. God loves the smokes out of us! Thats why he gave us all the chances in the world to progress be happy and in the end party it up with him in his house. haha im so thankful for you guys being good and staying in the church. you are the best family in the world. lets all try a little harder to be better so we can see Angel Grandma again :) Im pretty sure her spirit is around us all the time. Dont you love that!? Now since we have her (the big guns) im pretty sure were all going to make it back. :) What a wonderful lady. I love her so much. But now she's with Grandpa and thats awesome:)
Well this week was pretty good until two days ago. transfers are coming up and guess what. Im getting transfered out of the office. I guess i was just way to good for the office. haha no jk. But they are kicking me out and throwin me out to Sochi. haha!!!! ahhhh yeeahh. Sochi is a tight place but i wasnt ready to leave Rostov. ESPECIALLY cause my comp and I set another baptismal date last night with our investigator David. He is Irinas (the one that just got baptised) kid. He is 19 and he is the bomb. So he is getting baptised the 19th of November. Too bad ill be long gone by then. :( but oh well it will be alright. He still counts as a baptism for me :) he is so cool. We are taking him to the market today so i can go buy a shapka!! one of those russian hats haha. So ya thats what im going to be doing today. He is way cool and he is getting really close to being ready to be baptised. but not just yet. so im way excited for that.
Ya but so ill be heading to sochi at the begining of next month. President changed my transfer the day he told me. Originally i was goiing to still be in the office but then he decided i was cool and that he liked me and sent me to the warmest place in the mission for the winter :) haha president is the bomb. He is hooking me up way hard core with sochi. it is the place to be here in our mission so im stoked for it. Ya so thats the big news for this week and all that good stuff. Thanks for all the b day wishes.! President called me on my b day and sang to me with his wife and daughter. Not the best song i have ever heard but it was way cool that they remembered. Well he better remember cause me and sister nechipirova share the same bday cool huh :P ya anyways that was fun to have the same bday with her. and sister price had me over for dinner and gave us apple pie!!! agghhhh it was the best! so ya birthday week was the bomb.
ya so this week was good. I love you guys tons. Keep up the partying. Do lots of dumb stuff. But not too dumb.
drive fast and take chances :)

love me

HEY

Hey well another week has flow by. The mission is good and is treating me well. I got over my flu bug and now im back in the office burning up the keyboards like a good office missionary haha. lame, but oh well what can a guy do?. So everything has settled down and not much has been happening since the baptism. Life is back to normal except for zone conference on thursday. that was alright. the best part about it was good food for lunch. Sister Nechiporova made mashed potatoes and Meat loaf. way good. And since i was sick she gave me and my comp the extras to take home. SCORE! haha that was nice cause we dont cook that good at all. haha. we are on a meager diet of missionary 5 second meals haha. Which isnt horrible but isnt amazing either. :) but oh well. And while on the street the other day a subway worker was on the streets handing out ads and she gave me and my comp a handful of 50% off of the menu ads so we went to subway and drank MT DEW!!haha  that was the bomb. Mt. Dew is a sign from God that he exists and that he loves us. I think the first presidency should come out with that statement and make it scripture :) So all in all you can tell how the experience was :) But other than that we have been working with Irina which she is doing good. She went to conference and she loves President Monsen. She said she laughed way hard when he first spoke. President monsen is the bomb! what a stud. Anyways conferece was great. Us missionaries had to watch it on a laptop in the office and stream it from online. but that alright it still turned out good. On sunday we ended up watching conference for 6 hours in a row with conference and priesthood session. wow that was a long time. but it was good and Elder Holland threw down the hammer! Holy smokes! haha what a stud. If you didnt listen to that one you need to . cause it was way good. Well shoot im glad i got to see conference finally.
well i guess im about through with writing.  there isnt much to tell you about me. cause nothing is new. haha. Well shoot im outta here.
Love you tons.

My comp and i went and cleaned the baptismal font last night . we scrubed and scrubed the sucker white hahah. it was gross. but it looks good now. I have to do monthly reports monday :s not looking forward to that but thats ok. transfers arnt till the first of November so i think my companion is leaving the office and ill be taking his spot as executive secretary. which will be crazy :s uggh. but oh well. hopefully i make it through the winter in the office that would be dope. Ya but today we are going to be busy getting ready for the baptism. Crazy cool that she is getting baptized. many long hours of preparing her for this step is finally coming to a close :) way dope. hopefully everything is going to go well. Oh ya there is going to be two babtisms today. anoter set of elders have a baptism as well. so that will be cool to have two in the same day :) well shoot im not too sure what else to tell you guys. Sup

Well shoot whats up. Well i am one tired dude elder Guy person. My visa trip was bomb but, it was way long. I spent a total of 36 hours on a dang train going from Rostov all the way to Kiev Ukraine. But Kiev was the bomb and it was worth the trip. Cause i got to see the Kiev temple and it was the bomb. And i might or might have not been able to go to a session in it :) it was bomb. And it is now my fav temple its the bomb. So ya that was way fun and ill send you guys some pictures. Alright well now for the big news! Irina is getting baptized this saturday. ahhhhh yeeaaaah. And even cooler she asked me to baptize her.! Dope. So she is getting dunked this saturday at six. So that will be cool. And it was really cool cause i left rostov on the 23. Which if no one knows that was my year mark. Also Dope! And she was the normal irina. But when i got back from the temple/ visa trip i came back and she had her interview and she has changed so much it was kinda scary. But in a good way. So thanks for everyone praying for her and all that good stuff. I know you have been. :) So thanks. So im pretty excited. Alright what else to tell you.
Well yesterday was really sad. I guess with the good comes the bad. One of the elders here got sent home. He was really a cool kid, and it was sad to see him off. President had him stay with me the night before he left and we talked alot. And it reminded me of what happend to me. It was way hard for me and i could see it was way hard for him. We talked for a long time about stuff and he seemed a little better off after we finished. I felt for the kid. It was hard . And it wasnt fun. But i got the kid laughing and we called his parents and told them what was happening. They told him exactly what mom and dad told me when i came home. We still love you. And i almost started bawling when i heard them say that over the phone. Freak im such a baby haha. I guess it just brought back some memories. And i wrote him a letter and gave him the little black Jesus the christ book that brother Nelson gave to me. You guys remember that? Well Bro nelson gave it to me when i was in a bad part of all that stuff i went through. And i knew it would help him like it helped me. i told him what the book meant to me and told him to take care of it and pass it on to someone that could use it after he is done with it. It was way hard giving him the book. But i know he needed more than i did. Ya so that was a rough night. Then we woke up at 4 this morning and got him to the airport. i hope he makes it back.
ya sad crap. but oh well, stuff happens and we cant judge anyone. Thats what i guess i learned from this experience. cause we all have been stupid in life and we all deserve a couple chances. Maybe even 3 or 35. God loves us. thats all that matters. Ya anyways so im glad i could help the dude though. I guess i went through all of that crap for a reason. Weird how everything works out like that huh? ya. Well I love all of you. I better get going. Everyone be good and dont die i like it when your alive. haha
Well im out home dizzle.
Drive fast and take chances.
here are some pics from the temple and another pic at the end is of the main street here in rostov. where i contact. Pretty dope if i do say so myself :)
Well enjoy!

Hey

Hey guys so anyways im in a not wanting to write mood haha. So this one will be short and sweet. Alright so this week was a little bit better than last week. irina #1 has turned back around and she is doing great. she has even been bringing her son to lessons. we had two lessons this week pretty cool. and her son is training to be a veteranarian or however you spell it. Not important. :) anyways so he is pretty cool. So we have re set a baptismal date for the 24th. She just needs to get work off. gee things are hard when your trying to get someone baptised. Ya anyways but we have a baptsim today. Her name is Galina. The elder from an area called zapadny is doing the whole deal. it will be cool. Me and my comp spent a hour last night cleaning the baptismal font. it was way gross cause i found out that the little kids found out how to get in there. so there was little kid foot prints all over haha. prettty funny actually cause if i was little i would have done the exact same thing. :) Anyways so Galina is way cool and im glad the elders found her cause she is way awesome. At family night last week she told me that i dont have an american accent. She said my accent is ukranian. So that was a big pride booster hahaha jk no but i guess my Russian is progressing. Hopefully ill get the full Russian accent. its way hard. Hopefully by the end of this crazy thing called a mission ill be 100 percent russian. haha. Ya so that was pretty cool of her. But last night i got a call from an old investigator and his wife and we went walking with them in the park and talked about life and how everything is going. and he is interested in talking to us again. So hopefully everything with him goes well. His real name is alaeg but americans never can say it right so he goes by alex. pretty funny :) But last night was way fun. And i love being here at night, especially since its getting darker and darker every week. I guess im a night owl. ya but this week was sister prices b day. She is int he office with us. Her and her husband are the senior couple here. We went and bought her a dozen white and pink roses and put them on her desk. She loved it. She is such a sweet lady just like grandma bell and wright. She pretty much feels like my grandma cause she takes care of us so well. She is always bringing us juice or a treat. haha. so we made sure to take care of her on her b day. i think i sent you guys a picture of them last week. ya but anyways that was this week. Just the office work, some stress and a b day party :) pretty alright i guess.

Oh so i have another visa trip this week to ukrain this time im going to the kiev temple cause my visa got all messsed up i guess. So ill be in kiev from saturday to tuesday. So im not sure when ill be able to write you guys next. So just know im not dead or something :) Ill take some cool pics for ya. Anyways ill get outa here. i have to go pay our utillities. fun fun fun. hahah

love you all have a good week

You know your in Russia when?

Your investigator with a baptismal date turns out to be a creepy cat lady that hates people. haha

K well shoot this isnt going to be the biggest email but it will be a good one :) hahah well i hope so. This week has been way stressfull and im not diggin it! The office has been crazy and we have been having big troubles here in our mission. Troubles from big payments being made all the way to sisters loosing passports! See i am set in concrete that sisters are blisters. haha but we got it taken care of. Wow but it was nuts trying to do it all.

Anyways now that i kinda gave you a taste of my creepy cat lady investigator ill tell you about her. Well irina #2 she turns out to be a crazy lady. she wont be-freind anyone in the branch. and every time she gets around a woman she gets way defensive and angry. But when she talks to americans she is totally fine. Im so glad that we found all of this out before we baptized her. So we are meeting with her today pretty much to tell her that we wont ever baptise her uless she changes dramatically. So hopefully we just dont offend her and have her tate us.But im glad we found this all out before.

And on to irina #1. She is giving us a scare right now cause she said something in our last meeting that told me she shouldnt be baptised. I aksed her if she would still like to be baptised and she said yes. But! she said ya but after im baptised and we stop meeting ill get bored. and if i get bored ill just leave. sorry guys but ill leave. so im pretty sure she wont be getting baptised either. :(

This week has been way rough for me and i am just wondering why this is all happening. These two ladies were awesome! One taught a lesson on the street to a guy. And the other has just been an awesome investigator. But whatever i guess. I came to Russia i guess thats how things role around here. So i have been loosing hair alot lately between investigators  going crazy and between accounting problems in the office. so ya. Ill make it though. I knew when i accepted to come back to russia i knew i wasnt going to have 4 baptisms a week like Elders down in south america. I knew it was going to be hard. But i guess i like to do harder things cause doing hard things shows us who we are i guess. So ya life is good. God is good. Im just so glad that he knows what im going through. He loves all of us. He wants us to succeed in whatever we do. But he wants us to learn how to become what he wants us to be even more. So i guess thats why he gives us trials. He is just dippin me in the fiery furnace testing how tough i am. So hopefully i fit the mold.

But i guess the week wasnt as bad as it sounds. We did have  lesson with a member. Their son is on a mission in the moscow west mission. And their son just met steven seigal! How dope is that. they showed me a pic and everything. :) so that was a nice time. they fed us and everything :) that was cool. And we also went over to the senior couples house just to chill and have dinner. Sister price found out my comp and I were having a way rough week so she invited us over and put a smile back on our faces. I love those guys. Im pretty sure God knew what he was doing when he sent them to the office in rostov russia. So we had a good time. They shared stories about when they were serving in Novasebirsk Russia. They were the first mission presidents in russia. pretty cool eh :) so he told us stories of spies and russian police and of problems with the government and told us how everything worked back then. He has some very cool stories. and they made me want to be a spy ahaha. so cool :) anyways all in all they are the bomb and they made me feel alot better.

So ya thats about it. Other than the weather is getting cold and i saw my breath last night on the street. funny huh? anyways i hope next week is an improvement from this week. Thanks for praying for me. I sure need it. I love you all :)

The office life

Well shoot
This week was pretty nuts! I'm not to sure where to start. Well ill just start i guess then. Well, this week has been so crazy i swear i have had 0 time to do anything or complete anything. I have just been running around like a chicken with its head cut off! Its now september so i have been busy with financial reports and the new office couple dont really know how to run computers very well so i have been helping them with their reports going in to. So this week has just been nuts trying to get everthing done and faxed to Moscow. haha crazy crazy. But i did one cool thing this week! I got to call Salt lake and tell them to fix the church programs cause they were all off-line. So i was calling expecting to call and talk to an american right and actually be able to explain the problem 100 % effectively you know? But then i call salt lake and the call directing machine was all in Russian. Then i pressed the right extention number and it put me in touch with computer tech. and all of a sudden this Russian dude just starts talking a million miles an hour in Russian! I was like " aaahhh man come on!" So i started talking to him and tried to explain it all in russian as best as i could. But then i got a bright idea. This dude works for the church in slc so i asked him in russian  > can you speak engilsh? and he was like of course! WHEWHHH ahha im glad cause Dallin and technical computer terms in russian dont mix. haha he laughed pretty good but eventually we got the computers up and running again and i got to finish my work :)
Ya but but the rest of the week for missionary work was crazy. Irina #1 she asked if we could do her baptism the  17th. so we moved her b date to the 17th. as for the other Irina she is still on for the 17th. so we will have a double baptism saturday and i think one of the other elders have a baptism the same day so we will combine all of them together. That will be way cool. Hopefully everthing turns out well. But the other day i think thursday Irina #2 the older lady was walking us to a bus stop after a meeting and a dude stoped us and asked what the heck is a mormon. So i started talking but Irina cut me off and taught the dude for like 10 minutes and answered all his questions. It was bomb! I was way impressed cause she knows alot more than i thought she did. haha it was awesome! So dope. So she is pretty solid. Im way excited for her.
Nothing else really happened this week that i need to share with you. Everything is going well. My back is back to normal finally. It only took 2 weeks :S Oh well :) its all good now. Thanks for all the emails!!!
Love all of you

27/aug/11

Well holy smokes another week has come and gone and im liking how this whole two year thing is flying by. If time is flying by then your having a good time. :)
So im glad to hear everything is going well back in the states and im glad to hear no one is in jail or dying. So this week eveything is pretty dope! cause sunday is a magical day where members give you refferals. haha i got my first refferal from a member this last week. And were trying to get a meeting set up witht he people :) so thats pretty exciting. And also why sunday is my fav day is cause we had a lady randomly show up to church and ask to meet with us. and so i have met with her 3 times this week! Her name is Irina. funny huh so now i have 2 investigators with the that name. And also she now has a baptismal date for the 17 of september. haha so now they both have b dates. cool huh haha. so im starting to realize that sometimes god does all the work and i just sit there and do nothing. And for some reason when those cool miracles come our way its usually not the cause from something we did. She just showed up and wanted to talk. We didnt do anything except teach her the lessons. So ya im glad i have the big guns fighting for me on the other side! Pretty dope. ya but anyways thats the way cool new for the week.

We had zone conferance this week also and it was sweet. The talks were way good  and Sister Nechiporov made an awesome taco soup!! Which is amazing for us cause our diet as missionaries sucks! haha we should eat better but we dont have time to make anthing nice except for on p days. so we uually make a quick spagghetti or however you spell it. Or dumplings and noodles. But im pretty sure i have eaten more noodles in the past year than i have my whole life put together.hhaha weird. But back to zone conferance. it was the bomb and we all learned alot and we got a new jump start to finish the transfer hard. President talked about how we need to step up our game so we can reach our goal of 55 baptisms by the end of the year. I think we are at 23 :S so ya. but we also have a freak amount of investigators getting baptised in september! we have 13 on the roster ! way crazy huh! but way cool haha. pretty intense cause in august we had i think only 1 person get baptised. but whatever we are kicking butt and taking names for september.!

Anyways i dont really have that much to tell you about last week. It was a good week thats pretty much it haha.

Well shoot tell everyone hi for me. give robin a wet willie for her birthday on the 1st. and someone go buy some more rats and give them to Sam and Dan. :) haha we all know why.

well shoot im off! Love you all

HEY!!!!!!

Hey guys whats up?
Well shoot nothing much is going on here. Just the same old jiff. Well except for on piece of info. You know Irina the lady i have been teaching? ya well she is cool and she now has a baptismal date for the 3rd of September. Dope huh! So I'm pretty stoked about that one!!! ha ha. I'm glad she is progressing. hopefully everything works out and hopefully it doesn't fall through.
Ya well this week was a pretty much a monsoon! I about drowned like 3 times just walking around out side!  Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I'm pretty sure i attached some pics to show you . It was pretty cool though. I enjoyed it at least. But the heat wave is finally gone and its been in the low 80's all week and its awesome! I'm so glad to finally be out of the heat wave. It was so hot it reminded me of how Dax cooked a frozen pizza on a rock in Moab. Remember that? What a goof ball, i sure miss that kid.
So thinking about the date i hit my year mark here next month. Weird huh. Ya but i was looking at my release date and stuff and it seems like they have added another transfer to my mission. Funny huh. oh well. I'm not worried about it. But the mission has been going well, nothing to complain about really. Especially since I'm sitting in the nice air conditioned office! ha ha pretty funny, but its way fun to be here in the office with president and the senior couples. Ha ha the senior couple are hilarious!!! the prices> he was actually a professor at BYU . He taught Child psychology for a long time. Maybe someone in our family has taken a class from him. Anyways he is awesome cause at FHE this Monday ( i was translating) and he said while walking around the room like a zombie humming. " you better be good cause i can look into your eyes and know what you have done." ha ha it was pretty funny :) I laughed and so did everyone else. Its way hard to translate when your laughing. the funny part wasn't even him saying he can know what everyone was doing it was a 72 year old man walking like a zombie humming. ha ha so funny. anyways.
Ya well this week was just normal nothing too exciting other than the baptismal date with Irina. She is pretty cool i wish you guys could meet her. ya anyways so im pretty much out of stuff to tell ya. This week was just a normal week around the block.
Well i guess ill get off then.
Love you all.
