Borders.... Trains.... and sub machine guns‏

Well my computer crashed and so i have pretty much lost all will to re write everything that i had on here before. so sorry. But i will give you somethin to read i guess.
Well the weather has finally cleared up and im pretty stoaked about it cause for the last 2 months it has been nothing but crap weather every single day. But yesterday was amazing and we put some good miles on my ecco's. So ya life is good as of yesterday haha, but oh well. We had zone conference last week in krasnodar that was awesome cause Elder Lawrence from the area Presidency was there and he gave me an interview. haha he was sweet and he gave some bomb talks. And his wife was probably better than him haha, she talked about the 12 tribes of israel. And not going to lie i dont think i have ever taken so many notes in my life! The lesson was great. But I talked to Elder Lawrence for a while and he said he knows John's Dad pretty well and i guess they sit next to each other during conference and stuff. So i told him to say hi for me haha, im sure they get lots of hi's from people all around the world but oh well. And he also said he will be giving the opening prayer at Priesthood session so be on the look out for him. he is a stud. So all of that was pretty fun.


oh ya thank you grandma and grandpa wright for the package :) it was a christmas package full of socks and underwear :) if you guys wanted to know hahah :) thanks :)


Other than that we had a Visa trip. Which sucked. One of the elders from krasnodar bought our train tickets to Rostov and he pulled a dumb tard move and bought us 3rd class train tickets. Which the 3rd class consist of wooden benches and heaters that are so hot they will start a fire if you put your bag on it. So we had a 4 hour train ride from hell. And that is exactly what it was haha but it was alright, we just made fun of him for buying the wrong tickets haha he felt pretty bad but we were just teasing him. But then the next morning we had our visa trip across the border, i smuggled ella's flat stanley across the border and took a pic in ukraine for her. Me and the other elders were talking about it and we are pretty sure ella is going to have the coolest flat stanley project in her whole class. Cause she whent to Russia/and ukraine. Pretty bomb eh? haha ill attach some pics for her, anyways but we had a good time and nothing whent too horribly wrong. we were detained for about an hour and a half on the border freezing my butt off. But they ended up letting us go with nothing wrong. Russian Police suck. they were just trying to be jerks.  ya then we got to the ukrainian border and they wouldnt let us through. so i had to get in an argument with the border police. they kept telling they wouldnt let us in just because they didnt like us. so we threatened them with a phone call from the embassy. and finally after some name calling the border controll boss guy came over and he told the border officers where to shove it and we got through. I dont know why but borders and Elder Wright dont mix very well. Oh well.


Well then finally we got back to sochi and we had our church meetings and i had a talk about the light of christ which is my favorite subject so that was pretty easy and after sacrament some of the members came and asked me for all of my refferences. And mom yes i did get a new BOM in russian. they put out a new translation which is amazingly better haha. the old one had so many mistakes it was rediculous. anyways so now its all better and i have a new triple combo bom, pearl of great price and D and C. so ya its pretty bomb and i used it on sacrament and eveyone was blown away with the new translation. It has changed so much that we have to change the sacrament prayers. so ya thats how big the new translation is haha. but its better. But anyways nothing too exciting has been going. other than the drunk lady on the street yesterday. she came up asking us weird questions and finally i was getting sick of her and she stuck her hand out to me and said give me some money! so i stuck out my hand and said no, you give me some money haha. :) it was pretty funny then she slappend my hand back and told me some naughty words haha. then i asked her if she had been drinking and she nodded. and i asked her if it was vodka or whiskey. and she laughed and said it was vodka and that whiskey is for americans ahha. i laughed pretty good. But that was all the funny stuff that happened.  ill attach some sick pics of the sunset and flat stanley for you guys to see. but i better go. i love you all

Week of trains and turmoil and letters of joy

Well where do i need to start!

I guess i will start out by saying holy smokes! I think i received 7 letters this week and 2 packages! Thank you for the Packages Gentry Brown Scott and Taylor Ugine Nancollas. You guys rock

And thanks to  Ella and Robin and all her Roommates and buddies for the stack of letters. This week was started off right haha.

Anyways like in my subject my companion and I rode trains from heck and back. Im dead serious we had to ride a 6 hr train to krasnodar to the elders apartments and from there to Rostov a 4 hr ride and we spent the night there. Then my comp had a visa trip to Ukraine. thank goodness i didnt have to go. then we boarded another train to Krasnodar and spent the night there and then back to sochi my abode. so ya we racked up the traveling hours on the train and the worst thing is that we have a zone conference to go to tomorrow in krasnodar then we come back. then i have a visa trip on the 23rd so that means i have to go back to Rostov and to ukraine!!!! its the most rediculous thing i have ever had to do on this mission. Someone please put a bullet in my head. so if i add it correctly which i probably didnt its a whole whopping 52 hrs on the train for ol' Dallin and my fearless companion. This whole thing is just a bunch of waste of church money also. but its not my decision. oh well enough for complaining.

Well today we had institute of religion and sports night. We had a good 5 people at institute and another 6 for ping pong and chess tonight. we all had a good time and we didnt kill each other, thats the good part. But i did get my butt spanked by a 60 yr old lady in ping pong. She said she was the champion in the Southern Russia region back in the day, which was a way back in the day haha. But i did beat her once out of three times. so yes, i got spanked haha. Then our investigator yura showed up and i played pingpong with him for a while and we battled it out. We had a great time and i invited him to come to the branch party on the 17th celebrating like 150 years of the relief society or something like that. And we combined our talent night in there also so ill play the guitar and try not to sound like an idiot. And my companion and i decided we are going to do a puppet show about missionary work and how we think it should work. walking up to people trying to talk to them , them saying no, us beating them up, threatening them and eventually forcing them to church. and at the end a guy is going to run up to us begging us to baptise him  and we will just sit there for a minute then laugh hysterically and walk off saying what a good joke. haha so it will be good and ill try and get all of this recorded. So Yura will come and we will have a good time.

But ya tomorrow we leave for zone conference, i guess a guy from the area presidency is coming. So hopefully i dont get sent home haha. And President Nechiporov will be coming to our branch this sunday. this whole week has been so stressful trying to get everything ready for all of the big dogs coming down. Geeze. but oh well but i kinda feel bad cause we have been having the worst of luck with missionary work down here so it seems like we have just been sitting down here in the best weather of the mission picking our noses. oops. But oh well.

But while i was in Rostov this week i called Irina up. the lady i baptized. I guess she broke her leg slipping on the ice and she has been in and out of the hospital all month. :S so i talked to her for about an hour and cheered her up. She is such a sweet lady and it made me really sad that i couldnt go visit her. its pretty weird how you can love people you only have known for a couple months. She pretty much feels like family to me and it was sad to hear about her predicament. Hopefully ill be able to go see her soon.

Anyways i better get going. i wrote enough to last you for a month of reading. ill send you pictures and all that good stuff next week hopefully.

SOCHI

Well nothing to report so ill make it brief. Im staying in sochi another transfer. :S great.... ya. Roberts is staying also which is cool.

the rain hasnt let up since last week. we had about 30 min of sunshine yesterday during church.

oh ya the church flooded yesterday morning and the sucurity guard called me cause the branch president wouldnt answer his phone. So we got a frantic call at 630 in the morning. So we spent our morning cleaning the branch . that was a mess. and we have to go finish fixing the problem today. awesome. Haha

well nothing else to report.

Drowning while walking

Well as you can see my title is almost accurate . I almost drowned walking this week it rained so much! Pretty lame but thats OK i guess. Nothing much happened this week, we did have a good time trying to find people to teach though. We did have a amazing lesson at family night Tuesday. We talked on forgiving others and everyone listened very carefully and all that good stuff. It was great and i made Elder Roberts teach it and i translated for him, i threw in my voice every once in a while but he did a great job. And he got his point across and it was a good effective lesson :)

This week was also slow out on the street but that's normal for the rainy season here in sochi. I'm just lucky to be in such a pretty area, President Nechiporov even said i owe him for it ha ha. He is awesome, he leaves soon and we just caught word on the new mission President that will be coming in June i think. His name is President Britton. No he is not English. He is American i wish i knew more about him to tell you guys but ya thats all i know. So it will be weird for us to get thrown into a American president. i prefer the Russian president not going to lie. But we will see how all of this goes i guess, i bet it will be just fine and dandy :)

 My companion and I found some fun stuff to take pictures of. I hope you all enjoy. Well transfers are coming quick, they will be the 6th. i bet I'm getting out of sochi and being put in Volgograd. Hopefully i don't freeze!!!!!!! Wow its been cold up there, i heard that it hit about 30 degrees up there this week and all the elders said it felt like they were about to die from the heat. So ya. way cold. but i guess we will have to see what happens.

Whats Up :)

So how are you all? im doing good. Just chilling here in sochi. :) Like always 

Anyways so this week was rather dull. Well other than the fact that i met a very interesting person at church. Dan Merkley decided to show up to sochi branch yesterday. if you don't recognize the name he is the actor from the notorious LDS film Baptists at our BBQ. ha ha weird huh? ya anyways he just showed up from nowhere and now he is living in sochi . He works for the Olympic committee for the winter games coming up so he has to be here. so ya ill be translating for him in church for a while. Well untill i get shipped out haha. so thats kinda cool. I was just sitting in church then one of the members came tyo me and asked " there is a guy here. is he your investigator? " so i looked and i saw him. And i knew who he was, but i didnt want to say anything. Its weird cause we watched that movie on p day last week. so i knew him right away and we shook hands and we got introduced and all that and he told me what he was doing. so ya Mormon star in sochi haha. funny. He is a cool guy

anyways this week nothing much happened. We had family night on tuesday and i almost destroyed a dude. He is notorious for ruining lessons. He is  a 25 yr old with a "so called desire" to research all gospels. Anyways he showed up to family night and ruined my lesson and ruined a potential investigator witin 30 minutes. He inturrupted the lesson and started telling me i was lying about my own religion so he started to go off telling everyone about the church and about what we believe. He was about 80% correct but 20% was just wack! But thats how the devil works. He will tell almost the whole truth but at the end when he has you believing him he will just tell a little white lie that no one catches and through small and simple means does he carefully guide the children of men down to hell. ya so that was going through my mind the whole time while he was talking and as soon as that came through my mind i inturrupted told him not to inturrupt and i told everyone if they want to know about church teachings and doctrines to ask the people with nametags. He gave me a dirty look and i gave him the "say one more thing and ill kick your trash" i was so mad. But ya that ruined the lesson and then we tried to salvage the night but it wasnt very good. so we ended up just giving up and leaving. night ruined. :S poop. anyways that was the frustrating thing for the week..

But the rest of the week was alright. Nothing bad to report. We woke up this morning with more white snow on the ground. it snowed another inch :) ilove snow. haha. anyways. i best be going. We are having fun. My companion is a stud and we tell scary motorcycle stories to each other haha. we have fun. anyways sorry but no pics this week :) im out. i love you all

Zone Conf. Week

Well this week was zone conference and ill cut to the chase :) i got dressed up and got makeup put on me gross! the sisters had a talk about the spirit and missionary work and they worked it into makeup somehow and i didnt really listen i was too busy trying to get the devil paste off of my face to listen. Nasty. haha But zone conf was in krasnodar where it was a lovely - 15 degrees. l;asdkjfaklsdjf;laskdfjlaskdfjlaskdfjlsd Ya it was cold and we had to wear hoodies underneath our coats. But it was alright. In krasnodar we also bought new beds to take down on the train. The mattresses were rolled up and in vaccum bags and they were tiny. So we bought some new beds cause our old beds were nasty. Think about having two beds in a apartment for 5 yrs with stinky sweaty elders sleeping in them every night. ya nasty. so we begged for new beds and we got them :) haha lucky us. then we headed back to sochi where the sun is out and the birds are still chirping. today is probably a nice 35 degrees :) haha. Anywyas i got mom and dads package full of apple cider :0 thank you.! and i also got a letter from Kristy wright. And i got a package from janna! :) I got spoiled :) thank you everyone. and i have on question. how does everyone know im a koolaide freak? haha well you hit the spot :) thanks again. I know my family loves me :) hah

so anyways nothing else happened this week. Seriously. lame. But the A. P's are coming over tonight to spend the day tomorrow with us. so that will be fun haha. But i really dont have much to to tell you guys. But ill attach a pic of my gross devil makeup . i hope everyone gets a good laugh at it hahah i sure did. love you all

Well shoot everyone,

How is u alls.? Well im not doin to shabby ,sorry for not writing on the normal day but we had a nuclear threat so i had to run for my life before i had a chance to email you. But im still alive and i personally handled the whole threat. So ya :) But im actually doing really good cause this week we saw lots of cool stuff!

Well I guess ill start with the sick snow storm that came into sochi! Awww i miss the snow so bad! Snow is the bomb. But ya it snowed at least another 4 inches this week so my comp and i made a snow man ha :) Then some of our english club members found us and we took a pic together. That was fun. Then the next morning someone came and destroyed him. all that was left was his big butt. so now we have a huge snow butt on the street, thanks to the missionaries hahaa. And that night we found a steep street and we slid down it on our feet , we didnt have a sled :S but oh well. It was a fun day and im sure glad I got to see the snow :)

This week We have been calling the X-box guy and he has been out of town "wink wink" and he says he is busy. So that ship got sunk pretty quick, i knew that story was way toooooo cool to be true. ya but we will still invite him to family night tonight. For family night tonight we are going to have a spiritual thought about repentance for 15 min then as always we will drink some beer some vodka and whatever else we can find while playing a nice game of UNO :) haha when i mean beer and vodka i mean Fruit tea haha and we will have some other games after. So it will be fun, not going to lie i think tuesday nights are my favorite of the week cause we get to chill with the youth in the branch. way dope. Oh P.S. the girl that was baptised with Elder Reinguard and I just got hitched!!!! She met some dude from Taganrog (on the border of the sea of azof) they met at youth conference like a month and a half ago! Kinda weird but they are in Love awwwwww how sweet :) love is dumb. thats why God invented Trucks, snowboards, boats, motorcycles and x box. Im pretty sure Satin invented love and women to distract the perfectly good man to a life of endless torment and sorrow.   there is even a book floating around the mission about world religions and i was reading about a religion around the middle east that believs that women are the cause of and i quote " Mental anguish and pain" and you can quote me on the quote on quote.:) And now i am a firm believer.

But they are happy so thats all that matters :) They are a good couple. He actually just moved in with her this morning. They called us late last night and asked us to meet them at the train station and we carried all his crap from the train to the car. That was a work out. It wasnt very much fun, whoever said service makes you feel good should be put in time out. Cause it was lame. haha. but im glad he moved down and now they are together. so ya. So there is some awesome progress from our new convert Veronika. She is the bomb.

But our other investigator Armen is doing alright. His wife is pregnant and now she is back in the hospital due to complications. So we havent been able to meet with them at all. But the sisters in the branch have been going to the hospital regularly to go check up on her. My comp and i are trying to firgure out how to go with them to visit. Hopefully we can go see them soon at the hospital. ya but and also we have another new investigator Ura. He is coming to FHE and we will see if we can set up another appt this week before we head to zone conference on the 10th. So ya another 12 hours of sitting on a train to go to a conference for 3 hours. lame but they are actually pretty fun to be at cause we get to see all our buddies, and we like that cause we are marooned 6 hours away from the nearest elders. So its as good time to catch up with everyone. and this is the last time i will be able to see elder Hodson. he is leaving like the 8th or ninth of march . going back home like a looser. No bueno :) but im excited for him i just have to call him a looser so i dont get trunky. haha. He is my X companion from back in the day in Severny Rostov last summer. He came into the MTC a transfer after i did. So its really weird for hi to be going home and im still chilling here like a champ. But anyways im excited to see him.

but nothing much else has been happening. Just chillin doin work, like always. Anyways i better get going. i hope you all have a great week and ill try not to get shot this week. Have fun everyone
